Run
by the Centre for Construction Innovation (CCI), the Women in Construction
programme brings free training workshops to women in technical and professional
roles in the construction industry.
Success Train is engaged by CCI to provide ten of these training workshops
across the Midlands and northwest of England, in 2009 and 2010.
Our workshops focus on personal development, aiming to boost the performance
and confidence of women working in the construction workplace. The sessions are
part of the Women & Work: Sector Pathways Initiative which aims to raise
recruitment levels in sectors where women are under-represented, increasing
participants’ earning potential and aiding career progression.
The initiative was launched in response to recommendations by the Women &
Work Commission’s report entitled ‘Shaping a Fairer Future’.
By attending the workshop, you get a three-hour CPD (continuing professional
development) certificate from CCI. You also gain access to valuable new
networking opportunities within the Women in Construction Action Network.
